SamBangSa is full of Buddha’s grace and protection, where one can obtain three expedients: The fullfillment of material happiness, recovery of illnesses and enlightment. The construction of SamBangSa is started on 2558.10.2 and finished on 2560.5.14 in Buddhist calendar. SamBangSa is a five-story building with a base measuring 2,975m2. A variety of buddist practices can be done in SamBangSa such as dharma’s talk.
SamBangSa is the temple where it develops Buddha’s teachings, and spreads Mahayana Buddhism to the whole world.
SamBangSa, the main temple of Yangwoo Buddhist Order located in 464, Gujae-gil, Gyeongcheon-myeon, Wanju-gun, Jeollabuk-do, is ideal place to practice Buddhism. The location of SamBangSa symbolizes the nonuple petals of a lotus flower both in geomantic and visual sense. Mt. BulMo, located in GuJae (Nine Buddha) valley, is the mountain where it’s said to gives life to the future Buddhas, implying that the laities will eventually achieve the ultimate enlightenment.
